EEEK! You guys I am so excited to share this wedding with you all! It pains me that it’s been almost a year since this wedding and it’s just finally getting up on the blog. Better late than never!
Beautiful Hood River
Austin + Sissel had the most amazing fun-filled wedding weekend that we were honored to be apart of. A few years back we actually had the pleasure of shooting Austin’s sister’s wedding. It was such a treat to reconnect with the amazing Griffith family. Before the nuptials, we got together with the happy couple the day prior and did some awesome photo + video around Hood River, OR. If you’ve never been to Hood River, I can definitely tell you that you are missing out! We’ve been able to photograph one other wedding there and its such a cool place! Definitely somewhere we are planning on visiting again!
A Weekend FILLED with Adventure!
Austin + Sissel had the inside scoop on all the most breathtaking views you could imagine. So, we got the front row seat to some truly secluded locations which made for the most incredible pictures. I won’t lie – this whole wedding was one of my favorites I’ve ever shot. We hiked, we climbed, we ran, we danced. It was moment after moment of pure bliss getting to photograph these two in their own element. And of course adding in their beautiful dog Zola, who just was the icing on the cake!
The Wedding Day
The fun didn’t stop there! Moving onto their wedding day, we headed to Gorge Crest Vineyard in Underwood, WA. I am glad we got to go out and shoot the day before because we were able to get Mt. Hood in some of their photos! The wedding day had some different weather, and with the clouds rolling in on the mountains they were a bit covered. But still, one of the prettiest ceremony setups we’ve ever had!
On the morning of their wedding, Austin + Sissel were so relaxed! They had absolutely no stress on their wedding day. Everything was light, and fun, and they really threw a lot of those common traditions out the window to make this day 100% about them! Which we LOVED! Their family and friends were a HIT. We were surrounded by culture and adventure and it was amazing to see people who had traveled from so many places around the world.
Little Rain Never Hurt
The only small hiccup we had during the day was the rain trying to mess up the ceremony. So guess what, we just changed up the timeline! Instead of having the ceremony when scheduled, we moved into a cocktail hour held in an adorable barn. Everyone grabbed drinks, mingled, and enjoyed company. And then we just waited for the weather to cooperate, and as soon as it did, everyone went back down to the ceremony and we witnessed a beautiful couple, expressing their love to each other amongst gorgeous landscapes and wonderful people!
I could go on and on, but I will leave it here for now, especially since we have their wedding video to showcase as well! I can share more about their day then!
